2009 లో నియోజ‌వ‌ర్గాల పున‌ర్విభ‌జ‌న‌లో భాగంగా చిత్తూరు, గుడిపాల మండలాల‌కే ఈ నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గం ప‌రిమిత‌మైంది. చిత్తూరు జిల్లా ప్ర‌ధాన కేంద్ర‌మైన చిత్తూరు లో సికె జ‌య‌చంద్రారెడ్డి నాలుగు సార్లు విజ‌యం సాధించారు. ఇక్క‌డి నుండి చిన్న‌మ‌రెడ్డి రెండు సార్లు, ఆంజ‌నేయులు నాయుడు రెండు సార్లు గెలిచారు. ఇక్క‌డ ఒక‌సారి గెలిచిన జాన్సీ లక్ష్మీ ఒక సారి ఎంపీగా నూ గెలుపొందారు. ఇదే నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గం నుండి ఒకసారి గెలుపొందిన వేంక‌టేశ్వ‌ర చౌద‌రి మాజీ ఎంపి, మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్య చెంగ‌ల్రాయ‌నాయుడికి కుమారుడు. ఇర‌, 2009 త‌రువాత రాష్ట్రంలో జ‌రిగిన రాజ‌కీయ పరిణామా ల నేప‌థ్యంలో ఈ నియోజ‌క‌వ‌ర్గంలో మార్పులు జ‌రిగాయి. అవి 2014 నాటికి ప్ర‌భావం చూపాయి.
