Speculation has been rife for months that PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali, and not his boss Anwar Ibrahim, will succeed Dr Mahathir Mohamad as prime minister.

The latest claim making the rounds is that Azmin will be appointed as deputy prime minister during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations in early June.

The post is currently held by Anwar's wife, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

However, Azmin, said that he is in the dark about the speculation.
