The Karnataka High Court will take up the hearing on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging the controversial move of the state government to celebrate the birth anniversary of Tipu Sultan. Before fixing the date the Chief Justice who was heading the bench, posed a query to the government advocate as to what is the use of celebrating Tipu Jayanti. But the government is however planning to go ahead with Tipu Jayanti on November 10. On the other hand the BJP is planning to hold a massive protest against the fete.
