Former media advisor to Manmohan Singh Sanjaya Baru has revealed that the former PM wanted to honour two former prime ministers - Atal Bihari Vajpayee and P V Narasimha Rao - with the Bharat Ratna during the UPA II regime.

Baru said that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh always discussed this plan but his idea ever got a green signal. Baru, said that he had discussed Bharat Ratna to be given to the two former PMs and that Manmohan Singh was ready to do so.
