The Centre moved the Supreme Court today seeking stay on an unprecedented High Court order which says the CBI is "unconstitutional" and does not have the powers to investigate crimes.

Meanwhile, a caveat was also filed by the petitioner, on whose plea the Gauhati High Court passed its order, that he be heard before the top court takes a decision.
