Lalu's conviction has drawn mixed reactions. The Shiv Sena too has severely criticised the RJD chief and former Bihar chief minister in its mouthpiece Saamna. In it's editorial Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray writes: "Lalu always said that Lalu will rule in Bihar as long as there's aaloo (potato) in a samosa. There's still potato in a samosa but Lalu's reached jail."
Uddhav doesn't spare Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar too, "Nitish is also fodder scam accused, why is CBI saving him?"
