The Italian envoy has evoked the Apex Court's wrath. On February 22, the Supreme Court decided to allow the two Italian marines, Massimilano Latorre and Salvatore Girone to go back to Italy to vote in polls there. On March 11, Italy conveyed to India that the Marines are not going to return. On March 13: When all hell broke lose with parties slamming Italy.... the Italian envoy said he will not leave India. On March 4th the SC ordered the Italian envoy that he cannot leave India till the court's orders to the contrary. On March 18th Italy invoked Diplomatic immunity for its envoy, but the SC ruled that the Italian Ambassador cannot leave till April 2.
