While the movement for change is raging, doctors at Safdarjung Hospital are working round the clock to save the gangrape victim. Doctors say the 23-year-old medical student is in stable condition and has been taken off the ventilator. According to doctors, she is composed and is communicating well. But complicating matters are early signs of septicaemia setting in. But the doctors are pleased with her current rate of recovery. They say she is able to speak, but is being disallowed to do so. She even asked for water. However given the grave nature of her injuries, they say she is stable but not yet out of danger. However, it is her confidence that the doctors are crediting for her better than expected prognosis.
