But the police refuse to call it a sand-mafia killing. The deceased identified as 46-year-old Mahavir was a PCR driver with Faridabad police since 2003 and was posted at the Palla Road police outpost. The police managed to catch the dumper truck driver after a high-speed-chase. The dead constable's family is distraught and demands justice. The dumper truck driver who ran over the constable has allegedly confessed on camera but his alleged instigator, a man named Chauhan who led him in a Santro car and owned the truck, is yet to be arrested.
