The Mullaperiyar dam row escalates further with Tamil Nadu raising its ante. Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has convened a special session of the Tamil Nadu assembly today to pass a resolution that the state will not give up rights over the Mullaperiyar Dam.Opposition parties like DMK are on board in seeking to establish Tamil Nadu's rights over the dam. But despite SC warning both States to restrain from flaming peoples emotions, DMDK led by actor Vikayakanth staged a fast and formed human chain along the Kerala border on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Centre is also set to inform the apex court today about posting paramilitary forces at the dam site.
