1 Oachira Parabrahmam Kshetram, also known as Dakshina Kashi, is a truly ancient Hindu shrine located in Kollam district in the state of Kerala.
2 This temple is mentioned as a famous worship place in the local folklore and ancient scriptures.
3 It is centered on the famous pilgrimage center and the main temple is dedicated to the formless deity called Lord Para Brahman or Omkaram.
4 This one of kind temple does’nt have covered structures or an idol for the visitors to worship.
5 It is spread over around thirty-six acres of land and is famous as the only temple of Lord Para Brahman.
6 The different points of worship here are Ganapathi temple, Gopuram, East and West Nada, Ondikkavu, Ayyappa Temple and Mahalakshmi Temple.
7 Just like the temple, the offering made in this shrine is equally unique. This includes Uru Nercha (donating calf), Vedi Vazhipadu (fireworks) and Ochirakkaala (Sacred Bull).
8 Oachirakkali and Irupathattam Onam are two of the biggest ritualistic events performed here.
9 During the Kala Kettu festival, about 50 gigantic bull-like structures called Eduppu Kala are pulled on wheels to the Oachira Temple.
