The Camp Fire raging in Paradise, California, has destroyed thousands of structures – among them the Honey Run Covered Bridge, built in 1886 during the Gold Rush era.

This video shows the remains of the historic site: charred wooden beams, rippled sheet metal and loose wiring.

According to the website of the Honey Run Covered Bridge Association, the bridge served as the first road between Chico and Paradise, a necessary crossing after the discovery of gold in Butte County in the late-19th century.

The fire has scorched 110,000 acres as of Sunday night. 29 deaths have been reported so far, making it one of the most devastating fires in state history.
