Bihar’s Chhapra is flooded due to overflowing of Sarayu River following heavy rainfall. The water level of Sarayu River increased following heavy rainfall causing flood-like situation in the southern district of Chhapra. Water logging is damaging the crops. Water entered houses and locals faced difficulty in carrying out daily activities. A local resident said, "We are facing difficulty. We don’t know where to stay. Our crops have merged under water. There is no place to keep our cattle. Government has not come forward to help us. Every year we face same issue."
