A dog found wandering the streets of Houston, Texas, with a shoelace embedded so deep into his neck, his face had become extremely swollen, underwent a facial massage at Texas A&M Small Animal Clinic to help relieve the damage.

The dog, named Gus, was rescued by Houston K-911 Rescue and underwent several surgeries to remove the scarred tissue around his neck caused by the shoelace.

On September 5, a video was shared by the rescue organization showing Gus enjoying a massage at Texas A&M Small Animal Clinic to help reduce the swelling on his face and neck.
