A care worker in Sydney’s northern beaches was charged with two counts of assault on Wednesday, September 5, after he allegedly mistreated an elderly man repeatedly at an aged care facility in Seaforth.
In this video released by New South Wales Police, the worker can be seen pulling hard on the 82-year-old man’s shirt and beating him with a shoe. A media release stated the incidents occurred between August 26 and August 29 on a number of occasions.
The 35-year-old man was arrested at a Wheeler Heights address and taken to Manly Police Station. He was granted conditional bail and will appear at Manly Local Court on September 11.
