The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved an increase of two per cent in the dearness allowance (DA) for the central government employees with retrospective effect from July.Earlier, the employees were given a dearness allowance of 7 per cent which has now been hiked to 9 per cent. In March, the Union Cabinet had increased dearness allowance from 5 per cent to 7 per cent.

కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ ఉద్యోగులకు శుభవార్త. డియర్‌నెస్ అలవెన్స్‌ను 2శాతం పెంచుతూ కేంద్ర కేబినెట్ నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. ఇది జూలై నెల నుంచి అమల్లోకి వస్తుందని తెలిపింది. అంతకుముందు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ ఉద్యోగులకు డీఏ 7 శాతంగా ఉన్నింది. తాజాగా 2శాతం పెంచడంతో అది 9 శాతం అయ్యింది. మార్చిలో 5 శాతం ఉన్న డీఏను 2శాతం పెంచుతూ ఆదేశాలిచ్చింది కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం. అప్పటి వరకు 5శాతం ఉన్న డీఏ, పెంపుతో 7శాతానికి చేరుకుంది.
