Drone footage captures blue whales swimming and feeding in Monterey Bay, California, on August 15. Marine biologist Nancy Black, who operates Monterey Bay Whale Watch, told Storyful at least 15 blue whales were seen swimming off Monterey’s Harbor.
The blue whales arrived in southern Monterey Bay to feed on swarms of krill. Blue whales look for patches of krill and eat up to four tons per day, according to Black.
Humpback whales can also been seen in the video feeding on anchovies. Credit: Monterey Bay Whale Watch/Gowhales.com via Storyful
