This was the agonising moment a woman was treated after a back-street beautician allegedly used super glue in order to apply eyelash extensions.
Benyapa Supap, 35, visited the beauty salon last Friday in Phuket, Thailand, and paid 1,500 baht (35GBP) for ''super model'' eyelashes.
But the owner of Hair Infinity allegedly used fast-acting super-strength Elephant brand super glue instead of cosmetic beauty products.
Within minutes of having the lashes stuck on, Benyapa's eyes started to swell and then when she blinked the eyelids stuck together.
The mother-of-one complained to the beautician - who reduced the bill to 1,000 baht - but she was left in pain.
Benyapa walked out and pleaded for help from a second beauty salon which described the mess as the ''worst case of malpractice'' they had ever seen.
Speaking today (August 13), Benyapa said she had even complained to the police over the incident.
She said: ''I have just moved to the area so I wasn't sure of which places are good to use.
''At first, this salon said the cost was 1500 baht but after I was in pain, I said to them 'I can't close my eyes' and they said to just pay 1,000 baht. What they used on my eyes smelled the same as super glue and it was very fast drying.
''I was in pain for three days after. My boyfriend went back to the shop the next day but they didn't give our money back and they spoke not nice to my boyfriend.
''I went to the police but they said there's nothing they can do about it. I just want them to be sorry but they're not.''
