The winds of Typhoon Shanshan whipped up waves off the coast of Japan’s Izu Islands on August 8, as the slow-moving typhoon made its way towards the mainland.
Shanshan is expected to bring heavy rains and strong winds to parts of Japan, with the country’s meteorological agency issuing warnings for eastern coastal areas.
