Good morning, temperatures were little lower than Wednesday here in Seoul, getting up to 37.9 degrees Celsius. The intense heat will continue today but temperatures will drop a bit next week, while next Tuesday will be Ipchu, the beginning of autumn according to the lunar calendar.
Today is forecast to be another steamy day, southern regions will have blistering heat under burning sunshine. Beijing and Tokyo will also have a sweltering day.
Strong sunshine will boost UV rays to very high levels from early in the morning while extreme heat, sunshine and humidity will only make people very uncomfortable.
Another very warm morning to wake up to, as of 7 am, Seoul is at 31 degrees Celsius already, Gyeongju is breezier at 24 degrees.
Daily highs in Seoul, Daejeon, Gyeongju and Daegu will be at 38 degrees this afternoon, Ulsan has been under heatwave alerts for 24 days in a row, the longest since the records started.
