NBC Investigating Whether 'Biggest Loser'
Contestants Were Given Drugs The investigation by the network was revealed in court documents obtained by The New York Post. The paper ran a story in 2016 about Dr. Robert Huizenga, a sports doctor who worked with 'The Biggest Loser' for 17 seasons. Former contestants claim "Dr. H" submitted them to "questionable medical exams." They also claim they were supplied with Adderall and pills containing FDA-banned Ephedra. Huizenga insists these are false statements and is suing the 'New York Post.' The long-running reality series centered on weight loss hasn't aired new episodes since 2016. An NBC spokesperson said the company wouldn't comment on an ongoing legal matter.
