A wildfire in Yolo County, California, grew to 22,000 acres on Sunday, July 1, triggering evacuation orders. Firefighters are working to contain the County Fire amid windy, hot conditions, a news report said.
The fire has sent smoke as far as San Francisco, causing the sky to appear orange, reducing visibility and decreasing air quality.
