Lightning struck next to a police station in Apopka, Florida, on June 26, startling a canine officer as he exited his parked car and prompting him to retreat back inside.

The Apopka Police Department said the lightning knocked out power to the station and damaged multiple electrical transformer. “The building’s generator acticated and provided power to the building’s components,” police said.
