Lightning struck a Walmart parking lot, dangerously close to shopping customers, in Alexandria, Louisiana, on Sunday, April 2. A possible tornado was spotted near the area, and caused damage to property.
The Town Talk in Alexandria, reported a tornado was seen roughly 14 miles northeast of nearby Pineville at 2:47 pm. The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office also tweeted photos of a funnel cloud and damage at a gas station.
An unconfirmed tornado also traveled through Breaux Bridge, where two people died when a trailer was flipped over, according to the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office.
