A waterspout was spotted off Cheung Chau, Hong Kong, in the evening of Thursday, June 7, as Tropical Storm Ewiniar hit southern China.
The Hong Kong Observatory tweeted about the sighting at around 6:45 pm and the South China Morning Post reported that a monitoring station on Cheung Chau detected the waterspout near Tung Wan Beach.
