Israel Blames Hamas For Provoking Gaza Violence that Left 100 Wounded, Paramedic Dead

Israel’s military on Saturday, June 2, blamed Hamas incitement for border violence in Gaza the day before, reported to have injured more than 100 Palestinians with no casualties on the Israeli side.

The IDF also announced an investigation into the death of Razan al-Najjar, a 21-year-old female Palestinian paramedic who was reported to have run toward the border fence to treat the injured on Friday, drawing the fire of an Israeli sniper.

Najjar’s funeral was held on Saturday. Protests resumed afterwards, according to reports. As many as 110 Palestinians died in violence at the border since the end of March, with protests continuing for 10 consecutive weeks.
