Israeli forces shot tear gas, rubber bullets, and live rounds at crowds gathered near the Israel-Palestine border in Gaza on May 4, as protests continued into their sixth week.

More than a thousand people were reported injured in the protests, mostly from gas inhalation. Reuters reported that about 80 people were shot and injured from live fire.

This footage is described as being filmed east of Khan Yunis and shows protesters batting away tear gas canisters with tennis rackets. The gas had been fired at them by Israeli security forces.

A clip also shows protesters pulling a rope that was tied to a barbed wire fence. Credit: Amjad ALreqp via Storyful
