Severe rainfall halted train services in Frederick County, Maryland, on Wednesday, May 16, as severe storms lashed the US Northeast, leaving at least three dead.

The Maryland Department of Transportation said high water was reported throughout the state, especially in Frederick and Montgomery counties. It warned drivers not to travel in flooded lanes, because it is “difficult to determine water depth.”
