Giant clouds of volcanic ash were spotted rising from the Kilauea volcano on May 9, the same day that the USGS warned of an increased risk of explosive activity at the volcano’s summit.
This footage, shot by local Dana Fujimoto, shows an ash cloud rising from the volcano. According to Fujimoto, it was filmed by the Kilauea Military Camp, located in the Hawaii Volcano National Park.
