India lost the inaugural match of the Nidahas T20I series by 5 wickets. Sri Lanka riding high on Kusal Perera's 66 run knock passed India's target of 174 runs in 18.3 overs. India were put to bat first in the inaugural match of the Nidahas T20I series after Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first. Nidahas Trophy Twenty20 International tournament is being held this month to mark the 70th anniversary of Sri Lanka's independence.
