In the series of protests against Padmaavat, a group of miscreants vandalised a shopping mall in Haryana’s Kurukshetra on Sunday. Bollywood Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed movie has drawn ire of several self-proclaimed groups, including Karni Sena, who say the movie distorts historical facts and portrays Rajput community in bad light. Yesterday, a group of unknown people vandalised the Rajhans Cinemas in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad. Later, members of the Shri Rajput Karni Sena distributed a memorandum in all the theatres of Gurugram against the movie that releases on January 25. Karni Sena has been protesting against the Deepika Padukone-starrer film for distorting historical facts. A number of protests have been witnessed across parts of the nation ever since Bhansali’s crew began shooting the movie.
