Hillary Clinton commented on Doug Jones' win during an appearance in Vancouver on Wednesday.

Hillary Clinton on Wednesday shared her thoughts on Democrat Doug Jones' win against Republican Roy Moore in the Alabama Senate race, calling it a "turning point" in the current political landscape.
According to the Vancouver Sun, she made that remark during her appearance in Vancouver for the promotion of her new book, "What Happened."
"The combination of Roy Moore, Steve Bannon and Donald Trump proved to be too much," Clinton said. "For me, this was a very important turning point in holding president Trump and his most vitriolic, destructive advisers, led by Steve Bannon, accountable."
She had also tweeted about Jones' victory on Tuesday.
"Tonight, Alabama voters elected a senator who'll make them proud," Clinton wrote on Twitter. "And if Democrats can win in Alabama, we can -- and must -- compete everywhere. Onward!"
To the surprise of many, even President Trump congratulated Jones in a tweet and while he called him "weak" on borders and crime prior to the election, after the results, he has expressed a willingness to work with him.
"In his outreach to Doug Jones directly, [Trump] called and they spoke yesterday. They had a great conversation, a very positive conversation," White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said during a press briefing Thursday. "He likes Doug Jones and looks forward to meeting him in person, and hopes that he will come and follow through on his commitment to work with the President on some things that they agree on."
