Attendents of Hillary Clinton’ December 12 event in Portland, Oregon, celebrated the victory of Democrat Doug Jones over Judge Roy Moore in an Alabama special election.
This video shows people clapping, cheering and jumping up and down at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall after it was announced that Jones had won the hard-fought race, filling the Senate seat vacated by now-Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
According to the Alabama Secretary of State, Jones had 49.6 percent of votes, while Moore trailed closely with 48.71 percent at the time of publication. Voter turnout was higher than expected in the predominantly Republican state, AL.com reported. Credit: Facebook/Jerl Thompson via Storyful
