Russian lawmakers just approved a new law requiring international media to register as "foreign agents" The law comes after the U.S. government forced the Russia's state-funded channel RT to register as a "foreign agent," the Washington Post reported. RT is now required to report sources of funding to the U.S. government, the New York Times said.
