A dog who is believed to have lost full use of her back legs after being hit by a car, finally got some tender loving care after a difficult rescue. Pinky Paws ResQ shared footage on November 4 showing the dog, Iris, being taken into care.
The stray dog is believed to have been hit by a car at the start of October, and it took almost a month for rescuers in Selma, California, to finally trap her and take her to safety. Photos of Iris’ paws show them to be scraped raw due to her dragging them along the ground, unable to walk properly.
Iris was rescued on November 4, and is due to be seen by a veterinarian for a full diagnosis of her injuries on November 6. Her rescuers have shared images of Iris bonding with her new carers, and being fed treats. Credit: Pinky Paws ResQ via Storyful
