Authorities in Mexico issued a warning notice for the Popocatepetl volcano after recording over 200 emissions from the crater since Friday, November 3.
Luis Felipe Puente, national coordinator of Civil Protection of the Ministry of the Interior, raised the warning status to yellow and advised residents of Puebla and Morelo states to avoid contact with ash from the volcano.
