Anubis is an incredibly powerful mage in SMITE.but only when he is positioned correctly. He rates as one of the higher difficulty mages in the game for me based on the way his entire kit depends on landing a skill shot, and the f that he has little to no mobility (yes it is worse than Zeus, even - though I said differently at one point in the video). His lack of escape is made up for by his ability to lifesteal, but many people do not take advantage of his passive, and are relatively unaware of what it does. The only way to escape as an Anubis is to fight your way out of it, which is why I find it crucial to save your mummify until you are in the thick of things with another opponent. Your burst can absolutely take them down quick enough to secure a kill, but if you miss your mummify, their damage will most likely kill you, or if they have another player following up, set you up to die immediately after you have killed them - either way it isnt your best option. Be reserved with your mummifies and learn HOW and WHEN to land them. Anubis is a god that takes patience, but his glass cannon, over the top damage feel is more than enough fun for me to make the journey worthwhile. When you win with Anubis, you win BIG.
