A volcano in Mexico has begun spewing ash and cloud vapour in a state already hit hard by last week's deadly earthquake.

A video filmed on September 23 in a town in the state of Puebla showed a column of steam and ash rising from the Popocatépetl volcano.

Experts have said the volcanic activity is not related to the recent earthquake which destroyed churches and infrastructure in Puebla.
