So Jennifer Lawrence’s character’s name is “mother!” in her new movie, but will a child ever be calling her that in real life? She’s not so sure.
The actress tells E! News that the older she gets the idea of becoming a mom in real life is less appealing.
She reportedly says, “Which is starting to worry me. I don’t think that’s how it’s supposed to work… When I was 21 or 22, I was like ‘I can’t wait to be a mother! Now I’m like…”
Of course, since her new film “Mother!” is making headlines as extreme, twisted, dark subject matter, maybe that has something to do with it. Regarding the role, J-Law says, “I believed in the metaphor and the message… When I first read the script I thought it’s too dark. I didn’t even want it in my house…”
But, since she’s dating the director, Darren Aronofsky, she was eventually able to recognize the “genius” in it. She tells E! “That’s why I have always wanted to work with him. He’s unafraid. He’s bold and I do agree with the message.”
Who knows, if J-Law does become a mother one day, Darren might actually have a big part in that.
