Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky have gone their separate ways after a year of being together.

The couple got together while they were making the film, Mother!, but after its release in September, they have broken up according to People magazine.

A source told the publication that once they are onto new projects and interests, it’s harder to keep up relationships of any kind. The source added they were never destined for marriage, but they had fun, shared many beliefs, and enjoyed what they could learn from each other.

The source even suggested that age difference also played a role.

Jennifer is 26 years old and Darren is 48.

When they first got together, she was attracted to his brilliance and education and he was in awe of her talent and personality.

Lawrence is appearing next in Red Sparrow and 2018’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
