A man sporting an umbrella and riding an elephant was captured on film travelling through the flooded streets of Sauraha, Nepal, on August 14, the day after elephants helped rescue hundreds of tourists from a flooded jungle safari park in the area.
The Rapti River had overflowed its banks in Sauraha, roughly 80 kilometers west of Kathmandu, leaving about 600 tourists stranded.
Indian media reported on August 15 that 91 people had been killed in the floods, and another 38 people were still missing.
