Catholic faithful in San Salvador take part in a mass and a pilgrimage to mark the centenary of the birth of Blessed Oscar Arnulfo Romero, the Salvadoran archbishop slain by a death squad as he gave mass in 1980, during the Central American state's brutal civil war. The pilgrimage will last three days and end in the municipality of Ciudad Barrios, where Romero was born.
