Israeli security forces on August 10 demolished four homes described as belonging to the families of Palestinians involved in the killings of a Border Police officer and an Israeli soldier, according to local reports.

The Times of Israel said the demolitions were in the villages of Deir Abu Mashaal and Silwad in the central occupied West Bank district of Ramallah.

Three of the Palestinians whose homes were demolished were said by Israeli security forces to have carried out an attack near Damascus Gate in the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem, which left an Israeli border police officer dead. The attackers were named as Baraa Ibrahim Saleh, 18, Hassan Ankosh, 18, and Osama Ahmad Atta, 19. They were shot dead at the scene by Israeli forces.

Israeli police also demolished the home of Malek Ahmad Mousa Hamed, 21, in Silwad, who killed Sgt Elhai Teharlev in a car-ramming attack outside the West Bank settlement of Ofra.
