The roads leading to ski resorts in New South Wales’ Snowy Mountains were blanketed in snow on Monday, August 7, as the “Blizzard of Oz” powdered the region over the weekend.

ABC reported that Thredbo received 1.15 metres of snow from Friday up to 6am Monday morning.

The Bureau of Meteorology issued a warning for sheep graziers in the Snowy Mountains and surrounding areas on Monday, saying that the cold temperatures, winds and showers may kill lambs and sheep exposed to the severe weather. Credit: Instagram/skitravelco via Storyful
