A rare early winter storm swept across Atlanta, Georgia, on Friday, December 8. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, six inches fell in metro Atlanta and six to ten inches of snow were reported on North Georgia Mountain.

One person died after coming into contact with a live power line, the report said.
