FBI arrests federal contractor over NSA leak

The Department of Justice announced that the FBI has arrested a federal contractor with leaking classified material to an online news outlet. Reality Leigh Winner, 25, is employed by Pluribus International Corporation and admitted to "removing the classified intelligence reporting from her office space." According to the top secret report, Russian hackers tried to attack a voting software company and sent emails to local election officials the day before the 2016 presidential election. The report, published by The Intercept, said that the hackers used the info from the software company to email over 100 local governments, pretending to be from VR Systems. VR systems uses their software for election management tasks in multiple states, The NSA report does not say whether the maliciously sent emails were successful in gaining consistent access.
