The DMK called for the all party bandh across Tamil Nadu to extend support to the farmers who were protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The AIADMK and the BJP were not invited to participate as Stalin held them responsible for the farmers' plight. The police said that all steps have been taken, including deployment of adequate personnel across the state to ensure maintenance of law and order.
