Boulders Strike Car on Santiago Highway After Earthquake

A 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Valparaiso, Chile, on April 24, rocking the capital city Santiago.

Residents sought safety in the streets as the tremor struck, but there were no immediate reports of significant damage or injuries.

The earthquake is the latest off the Chilean coast. T13 reported that there have been more than 100 over a 48-hour period.

This video of a car smashed by boulders was taken by Felipe Esteban on his way to work in Santiago on April 24. He told Storyful he took the video around five minutes after the quake struck.
