In a final push to topple the elected government of Thailand, antigovernment demonstrators set out from points throughout Bangkok to converge upon the offices of prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra. The day's tensions had been defused after Yingluck announced the dissolution of parliament, however crowds waited until evening to hear antigovernment firebrand Suthep Thaugsuban say their fight would go on.
