Israeli police confirmed that a young woman died after being repeatedly stabbed on a train in West Jerusalem on Friday, April 14.
The woman, who has been described as being in her 20s by various official sources in Israel, sustained multiple injures when a man said to be from Rasel Amud in the West Bank attacked her on the city’s light railway near Tzahal Square, also known as Allenby Square.
Micky Rosenfeld, foreign press spokesman for Israeli police, later tweeted that the woman had died in hospital.
Various reports described her as being a British student, however there was no confirmation of her nationality at the time of writing.
